Immanuel Junior High Student Life
Immanuel Jr. High School has a vibrant and energetic student life.  We offer many extra-curricular and co-curricular programs that enrich our student’s development, learning, and experiences.  Our Jr. High Student Council actively plans events throughout the year for the student body to bond together, socialize, have fun, and serve.  We offer a wide variety of athletic teams for students to continue developing and showcasing their athletic talents. A major highlight is our 8th-grade East Coast Trip that students have the opportunity to take for an exciting and educational experience to enhance the learning they are doing that year.

East Coast Trip

The East Coast Trip is a field trip experience designed to “take the classroom on the road”, in that the activities, sites, historical locations and programs followed are mostly based on the California curriculum of instruction for the 8th Grade History class. The coordination with the tour company allows for the freedom to tailor the events of the trip to the particular needs of the class, turning this 10-day “adventure” into an opportunity to see the places where our government operates; the history-makers changed the world and some of the most “American” icons available, while visiting six states and the District of Columbia.
Trip Highlights:
* Visit Washington, DC and the seats of the three branchesof our government, The Supreme Court, The U.S. Capital,and The White House
* The Gettysburg Battlefields
* Independence Hall in Philadelphia, PA
* New York City, visiting the 911 Memorial and Museum
