Meet Mr. Hiett:
Hi, my name is Marlin Hiett. I am so blessed to be the new Director of Development, another way of looking at this position is that I like to be considered the Pastor to all of our Donors and future donors. I was raised on the farm in Delano, CA and then upon graduation went to Biola University where I majored in Christian Education and met Michelle (Neufeld) who is now my better half. After years in pastoral ministry together and raising our family, we are now watching the next generation find their way in loving and serving the Lord together. Each family member is connecting with the Lord and His church in a unique and special way as well as using their life calling to share the gospel. We are so pleased with the strong foundation in Christ that Immanuel helped us establish in their hearts.
Our 4 children Matt (Sheri), Micah (Leanne) and their wives, Marissa (Kelyn), Mandi, attended Immanuel. We are definitely recipients of the Immanuel difference in our family with already 3 of our grandkids at Immanuel now...Casen, Camden, and Misty. I'm especially happy to join Immanuel in this time of growth and transition to build upon the firm foundation laid by those who have gone before us and continue to impact students and their families with the gospel of Jesus Christ that in turn will impact the world giving God all the glory.
After 30 years of serving churches in various pastoral roles, Michelle and I are equipped to share with God's people the opportunity we have as the Immanuel family to respond in generosity and love to the vision and mission of Immanuel schools. God knows His timing, but we may have only a short time to make an impact on our part of the world here in the valley and then God can use that impact to carry HIs message of salvation across our country and around the world. Let's be generous together to further His Kingdom.
When I'm not enjoying people are sharing eternal opportunities, I like to go to Pismo Beach and enjoy the ocean, go to the lake and water ski, watch March Madness or playoffs of most sports, or enjoy other sports and games like Kubb (yard game) one of our family favorites.
"Let us not get tired of doing what is right, for after a while we shall reap a harvest of blessing, if we don't get discouraged and if we don't give up.” - Galatians 6:9
