Return To School Plans
Immanuel Schools continues to be committed to “equipping students to serve God and neighbor with mind, body and soul, based on a Christ-centered foundation.” The goal of Immanuel Schools reopening plan is to provide re-entry that fosters the overall health of children, adolescents, staff, and the community that we serve. The plan is based on evidence that is currently available and will be monitored as new information or situations arise. We believe that not opening our school for in-person instruction for all, especially our younger students, would have a negative impact on the mental, behavioral, and developmental health of our students. We trust this plan will provide a framework for safety when on-campus instruction takes place Monday, September 21, 2020.
Immanuel schools created a Covid-19 team to ensure proper monitoring and planning of ongoing health concerns and changes. The school’s team regularly evaluates updates from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), California Department of Education (CDE), Center for Disease Control (CDC), and Fresno County Department of Public Health (FCDPH). The team is composed of the superintendent, principals, school nurse, business office director, chief administrative officer, athletics director, and board members. The team plans for a multitude of scenarios that include curriculum, schedules, student life, athletics, campus environment, and the health and safety of students and employees.
